Omifire Sequencer

os_smThe APM16 and APM32 are two modules of the FIREMASTER PLUS capable of automatic burst firing across 16 or 32 independently-programmable lines. The modules have identical features and differ only by the number of lines.

The burst firing units (or “sequencers” as this type of device is commonly known) can be programmed at distance (up to 3 meters) via an IrDA (Infrared Data Association) interface included in the hand-held terminal. The timing programming is immediate and straightforward: no PC connection is needed nor text file is to be created. The firing mode and the timing for individual lines are programmed on the hand-held terminal provided with a 4-line LCD screen and a full keyboard and then “transmitted” to the units in a fraction of a second using the practical IrDA interface: it is just as easy as using the remote control of your TV set!

MORE!: the BI-DIRECTIONAL IrDA interface allows you also to READ immediately the contents of any unit, to modify any data “on the fly” and to read the ohmic resistance of each single line

The APM series sequencers can be programmed to operate in several different modes and fulfil any need for complex firing sequences and special pyrotechnic effects. A single start pulse can start a single, randomly-timed sequence, a sequence with constant time interval or with incrementing or decrementing intervals. In addition a multiple-burst mode is available: the same unit can fire up to 16 different sequences triggered by successive start pulses.

The units can be operated in “TEST” mode to check the programming: the sequence will be performed activating the LED’s and buzzer only, while the firing lines will remain inactive.
