Remote unit RX-48
Each one of these new units is equipped with 48 independently-programmable lines, the T/R radio module, batteries pack/charger/manager, data MODEM, microprocessor and PERMANENT DATA MEMORY (the recorded show sequence remains stored as long as a new programming is made). The remote units can be added or removed at any time in any quantity without affecting the system performance and without need to specify to the main console this parameter. The firing parameters (sequences, timing, etc.) for each line remain stored inside the permanent memory of each box. Each line has enough power capability to drive directly up to 10 common squibs connected both in series or parallel. Each remote unit is completely autonomous and TOTALLY RADIO-CONTROLLED. It requires NO CONNECTION of any type with other equipment or with the other units. The remote units can be placed anywhere, in close proximity to the mortar racks eliminating any cable connection and dramatically reducing the wiring to the individual squibs (the exceptionally resistant plastic container with WATERPROOF, integral top cover protects the unit from fallout, flame or explosion!). The squib connections are made with spring-loaded, quick-connect binding posts of new design (replacing the old, plastic speaker connectors) completely made out of PLATED METAL in order to grant a very long-lasting, reliable operation and waterproof.
